New Album Pre-release

Wahhhh, the new album vinyl is so cool! All formats are available now to pre-order over at the Fitlike Records Bandcamp page. Can’t wait for everyone to hear it. So happy with the reaction to ‘In Your Head’ and ‘Baby Come Home’ so far.

Exclusive New Track, ‘Baby Come Home’

Delighted that those lovely folk at The Skinny are premiering ‘Baby Come Home’ from the new album. Really excited to see what folk think of this one as it’s a collaboration with a great young hip-hop artist from Aberdeen called Jackill (Jack Hughes) and one of my favourites from all the new tracks! Check it out over at The Skinny!

New Album Release and Free Download

So excited to let you all know that the new self-titled Best Girl Athlete album is to be released on 2nd October. It will be available on digital, CD and vinyl. This has been a long time coming and it has been so incredible to finally hear it come together. I’m really happy with it and hope that you will enjoy it too. To celebrate, we have a free download of the track ‘In Your Head’ from the album, which is being hosted over at the Canadian music site, The Revue. More news to come soon. There are also a few shows coming up with Sam Goodwill, whom we played with last year on a few dates of his UK tour. Tickets for the show at The Hug & Pint in Glasgow on 3rd September available here and tickets for the Newburgh Hall show on 1st September can be bought here.

New Track ‘ Frayed’ Released in U.S.

B&BA couple of years back, we met some lovely people in Portsmouth, USA who housed us, fed us and played a brilliant show with us. There was such an amazing community feel and it turns out this also crosses over into the Burst & Bloom Record label with a real collective feeling to it. We’ve kept in touch, each contributing to various projects. For the labels 50th release, we were invited to contribute a cover from their back catalogue. We chose ‘Frayed’ by Guy Capecelatro III, which was a touching tribute to his dying wife Pam. Very sadly, Pam passed away recently and we felt it a fitting tribute to record the song. You can listen to the compilation here.

Very pleased to share a wee filmed session we did back in 2015 in Youngstown, Ohio. Had so much fun doing this and had the pleasure of Viking Moses perform with us on drums. Big thanks to Sam Goodwill and Historian Recording Co. Check it out here. Hopefully have lots of news soon as we come to the end of making our second album.
